*Pandemic Flu Awareness Week*

The core contributors at *PandemicFluOnline* are gearing up for Pandemic Flu Awareness Week (August 16 – 23). We are currently building the site in preparation for dramatically expanding the depth and breadth of people’s knowledge on the historical, political and biochemical underpinnings of the current pandemic response. We are seeking the participation of health freedom advocates, both individuals and organizations, as well as medical professionals to help quickly and dramatically expand pandemic awareness in an effort to sidestep what is promising to be a vaccine-induced public health disaster of unprecedented proportions.

Background in brief

Since the first cases of swine flu were reported in Mexico late last March, public health professionals, state and local officials and the general public have been led to believe that the “novel” H1N1 (swine flu) virus, which is not a deadly illness in most “lab confirmed” cases, mutated spontaneously and is expected to mutate again into a more virulent and lethal form of the “disease” very soon.

The evidence shows that this “novel” strain was developed from a “Spanish flu” specimen taken from a frozen victim found in Alaska in 1997. While Dr. Jeffrey Taubenberger was working at the bioweapons labs at Fort Detrick, Maryland, he completed its genome sequencing for eventual future replication in 2005. Taubenberger, et al, have also been working on a vaccine for the resurrected Spanish flu after discovering how to replicate what had been thought to be an extinct influenza strain alleged to have killed between 20 million and 50 million people worldwide from 1918 to 1919.

On June 11, 2009, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a level six influenza pandemic—the highest level. As a result, a global push to produce an estimated 4.9 billion doses of an experimental H1N1 vaccine is currently underway. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has been announcing since mid- June, 2009, that her department is preparing the nation’s schools to be swine flu shot clinics and has been inferring the likelihood of a mass vaccination campaign in the U.S.—children and pregnant women first—beginning as early as mid-September.

Padding the numbers

As of June 1, 2009, the CDC announced that the definition of those allegedly affected by the novel H1N1 strain had been expanded to include influenza-like illnesses (ILIs) that test positive for influenza A but negative for H3 and H1, previously healthy adults over 65 hospitalized with an ILI (which can be chemical poisoning) and others hospitalized with ILIs who have been traveling or can be epidemiologically linked to other “confirmed” swine flu cases.

The WHO announced July 13, 2009, that the pandemic is now “unstoppable” and claims the number of swine flu cases has been growing exponentially. As of July 17, 2009, “confirmed cases” had reached 100,000 worldwide with an estimated 429 deaths, so the WHO stopped counting individual cases with the CDC soon following.
